Course Details

Emergency First Response primary and secondary care training teaches you what to do in the critical moments between when a life-threatening emergency occurs and when emergency medical services arrive. You will learn how to perform CPR, provide first aid that eases pain, assess a variety of injuries and illnesses, and practise techniques for dealing with choking, bandaging, and splinting.

What You Will Learn

  • Primary Care (CPR): Learn how to perform CPR and use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) to assist someone in cardiac arrest.
  • Secondary Care (First Aid): Develop skills to assess and treat injuries or illnesses, including wound care, bandaging, and splinting.
  • Choking Response: Practise techniques to assist conscious and unconscious choking victims.
  • Emergency Scene Management: Learn how to assess an emergency scene, prioritise care, and provide reassurance to the injured or ill.
