This hands-on programme transforms you into an underwater detective, teaching systematic search methods and safe object recovery skills. The course combines navigation theory with practical exercises using lift bags, marker buoys and specialised rigging techniques. Course Essentials:
- Prerequisites: SDI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
- Minimum Age: 18 (15-17 with parental consent)
- Dive Requirements: 4 search/recovery dives with varying techniques
- Equipment Needed: Compass, lift bags, marker buoys, cutting tools
Safety First:
While teaching effective recovery methods, the course emphasises strict weight limits (max 33kg/75lbs) and the importance of checking local laws regarding salvage rights before recovering objects.
