Course Details

The programme combines current analysis with practical skills for managing buoyancy, navigation and surface signalling in moving water. From deploying delayed SMBs to coordinating with boat crews, you’ll develop the confidence to enjoy drift dives in destinations worldwide while understanding when and how to exit currents safely.

Course Essentials:

  • Prerequisites: PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
  • Minimum Age: 12 years
  • Dive Requirements: 2 drift dives demonstrating current management
  • Equipment: SMB and reel (provided if needed)

Drift Diving Reality:
